From time to time, Extra Criticum authors will post a quote from someone we admire, something that has stuck with us over the years and is, as they say, quotable.
The following from Morgan Jenness:
Morgan is a rare animal in the world of theatre: a literary agent who is interested primarily in the artistic growth and output of her clients. Here's something she said on a Dramatists Guild panel a few years ago that's stuck with me ever since.
"The writers I'm drawn to are those who wonder what they can do for theatre, not vice versa."
Unfortunately "the theatre" has become over the past 50 years or so a PC (Poltically Correct) fortress dispensing one-sided advocacy often with tax-payers money.
