Shameless plug alert! :) Hoping those of you in the NY area will check out the reading of my new play, Kennedy V on Monday June 13 at 7PM at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row. The enormous cast is listed below. This is my I'm-tired-of-writing-single-set-two-handers play. :) Here's a little blurb.
by Roland Tec
JFK has just been assassinated. The country and the Kennedy family are in shock. The last person anyone expects to help pick up the pieces is young Teddy Kennedy, youngest member of the U.S. Senate and ubiquitous playboy on the D.C. scene. In just a few short years, while no one's paying much attention, he will grow into one of the most influential politicians in U.S. history. Kennedy V explores the formative years of Ted Kennedy's career, from 1963 to the tragedy at Chappaquiddick in 1969.
Jeremy Dobrish directs the following cast: Bill Parry, Christiane Noll, Marylouise Burke, Stephen Barker Turner, Cori Lynn Campbell, Blair Sams, Jake Robards, Ian Kahn, Eric Michael Gillett, P.J. Sosko, Jamie Laverdiere, and Sandy Rustin. With stage directions read by: Lynne Henderson.
This play was commissioned by Resonance Ensemble and is being read in conjunction with the company's current residence at the Clurman.
