Monica Ashton is a Composer, Producer and Pianist currently living in Los Angeles. Her recent projects include a Musical she is writing with David Secter entitled Banjos & Bugles, a DocudramaMusical about post-Civil War in New York. Check out: monicaashton.com. Dennis Danziger will read/discuss his novel A Short History of a Tall Jew at Book Soup in West Hollywood on January 11 and at the JCC in NYC on January 26. In August, he won PEN USA's Lit Crawl 2 and was awarded a bottle of Jack Daniels Gold which he donated to charity.
Jan Davidson has appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS, Nick @ Nite's "Funniest Mom In America 3" and NBC's Last Comic Standing. She tours nationally with "The 3 Blonde Moms" and has been the opening comedian for Rosanne Barr's "All You Can Eat Comedy" at New York, New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Jan is a comedian/writer/actor, but what she really wants to do is clean your house.
Rich Ferguson has shared the stage with Patti Smith, Exene Cervenka, and many other esteemed poets and musicians. He has performed on The Tonight Show, at the Redcat Theater in Disney Hall, and the New York City International Fringe Festival. He is also a featured performer in the film, What About Me, featuring Michael Stipe, Michael Franti, k.d. lang, Krishna Das, and others. Ferguson has been published in the LA TIMES, spotlighted on PBS (Egg: The Art Show), and was the recent winner in Opium Magazine’s Literary Death Match, LA.
Gary Garrison is a playwright and author, as well as the Executive Director for Creative Affairs of the Dramatists Guild of America and the Artistic Director and Division Head of Playwriting for the Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at the Tisch School of the Arts. He is also the former National Chair of Playwriting for the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival, as well as the Artistic Director for the First Look Theatre Company and the recently formed Playwrights PlayGround. Larry Dean Harris is the LA rep of the Dramatists Guild of America and the Susan Lucci of playwrights: always nominated for shows like Bible Stories and Play It Cool, but never the statue. His latest, The Prodigal Father, starred Max Gail and earned an Ovation nod (but not the hardware) for Josette DiCarlo. His next show is solo: Witness to the Bizarre.
Karen Hart's award winning holiday song Judah and His Maccabees: A Kickass Hanukkah Gospel Story will be performed this December in 4 major cities: Dallas, Atlanta, Portland and San Francisco. In all, over 500 singers will participate. Karen will be the guest soloist with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus for 3 concerts on Christmas Eve at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco. karenhartmusic.com
Carl Palmer is an actor who's done lots of Theatre, TV, and some Film. His favorite project with Roland Tec was the wonderful We Pedal Uphill, though he also had a lot of fun working with him Off-Broadway as one of the leads in Rapt and taking his shirt off in Gratuitous Nudity.
Julie Perkins has written and performed 6 Holiday extravaganza's and written/co-written and produced two holiday themed films (Jan Davidson is her writing partner and bestie). Antonio Sacre, a Cuban-American storyteller and children¹s picture book author, is also an award-winning and internationally touring solo performance artist based in Los Angeles. Roland Tec is an award-winning playwright, composer and filmmaker. Most recent film credits include We Pedal Uphill: Stories from the States, 2001-2008 and Edward Zwick's Defiance, for which he served as co-producer. His 1999 film, All the Rage, is considered a hallmark of the queer indie film movement of the 1990s.
Dave White is the author of the memoir Exile in Guyville, reviews films for Movies.com, contributes to MSNBC.com and the Los Angeles literary quarterly Slake, and can be heard on KCRW’s UnFictional program.
JD Disalvatore is a gay rights activist and lesbian filmmaker. She produced the film Shelter which won the GLAAD Award for Outstanding Feature Film in Limited Release. She has also produced the LGBT films A Marine Story starring Dreya Weber (The Gymnast), Eating Out 2, Gay Propoganda, Elene Undone for director Nicole Conn, HBO’s Reunion and Neurotica.
