Are you in New York City and environs and, like me, at a loss about what to do with yourself on Wednesday, November 12, at 9:00 pm? Well, how about watching three short films on NYCTV? You’ll get to see me co-host Backdrop NYC, a show that features “buzz-worthy short films about New Yorkers, for New Yorkers, by New Yorkers.” This half-hour show features three films, including the gem-like Rubber Soles by Christine Turner and the clever Peanut Butter & Graduation by Greg Condon. The third film, Tango Octogenario, was written and directed by none other than me.
If you’re at a loss about what to do with yourself on Sunday, November 16 at 8:05--and really, what does anyone do on a Sunday night but dread Monday--you can watch the encore performance.
So tune in. Host Cristina Fernandez and I will banter cutely about these films, the things we do for love, post-graduation trauma, and peanut butter. There may also be an insight or two into the making of Tango. It's all part of "The Circle of Life."
NYCTV is broadcast on channel 25 (Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, RCN); channel 22 (Cablevision); and channel 888 (Direct TV).
Not in NYC? Check out their website. There is a "live streaming" button which may or may not work for you.
