The adult in me has forever been in conflict with this playful child that's always just below the surface of my psyche. One day, a fellow author and colleague of mine—Michael Wright—wrote in one of his many books on playwriting, "Remember: playwriting, is play - at - writing."
The child was liberated and now lives and creates freely at will. My writing improved almost instantly.
