Doris X is not my name. When Rolando Teco invited me to contribute to this fascinating forum, I was nervous about doing so because many of the people I work with are world famous in my world, the opera world.
But Rolando urged me to share my experiences running a struggling opera company in a medium-sized American city and offered to allow me to do so using a psuedonym.
Whenever names appear in my posts, they, too, will be pseudonyms. Sorry, folks! Gossip ain't what I'm about. But telling it like it is, sure as hell is.
